Although a small business, AOC personnel are credited with being the originators of many major new concepts being implemented in the Navy today. From the development of such advanced open concepts as modular payload ships over the last 30 years to building prototypes of open sensor networks for automated damage control to support ships with smaller (optimized) crew levels, AOC has led the way within the Naval Engineering community with innovation and transformational thinking.
